Clean Eatz

Clean Eatz is a healthy lifestyle cafe and meal prep service that crafts nutritional products to meet the needs of every type of lifestyle.

Big Spoon was honored to have had the opportunity to plan and execute the Grand Opening of the first of hopefully multiple locations of Clean Eatz in Richmond. Through a series of community events and partnerships, local media pitching, a strategic social media campaign, and several Grand Opening events, we helped lay a foundation of support for the newest cafe in the Short Pump area.

From the health-conscious to the food sensitive, and from stressed parents to busy professionals, Clean Eatz was a concept that we were confident would resonate with a wide range of customers.

We worked with Clean Eatz on a marketing strategy that would shape their efforts after the opening -- including working with retirement communities and local fitness businesses to coordinate outreach efforts. We put together several pre-opening events at the cafe, including a Friends and Family Night and VIP Preview event.  The Big Spoon team scouted and personally invited neighboring business owners and employees, local media and tastemakers, and key members of the Richmond fitness community. A buzz was created with the general public by opening a very limited number of invitations to the VIP event and having the cafe pop-up at several community events and fitness studios.

Through pitching and invitations to VIP events, we landed local media coverage with Richmond BizSense, NBC 12, WRIC ABC 8.

Big Spoon reached out to health and wellness influencers and local gyms in addition to the Richmond Experience to promote the opening campaign. Below are a few posts from influencer placements we received from the VIP event we hosted and influencer partnerships. The Richmond Experience was a paid placement, and Clean Eatz increased its following by 1000 immediately following the partnership. The giveaway post received over 2,400 likes and nearly 3,000 comments- it was incredibly effective.
