Social Media is clearly a big part of our day-to-day lives over here at Big Spoon Co., but when we aren’t working on our client's social media accounts we like to explore other creators too! Read on to uncover a few of our staff member's favorite accounts. 

Enrique

  1. Duolingo is a popular language-learning app known for taking its classic owl logo and bringing it to life. Their TikTok has the owl using trending sounds, doing viral dances, and meeting celebrities. You never quite know what you will get from this unhinged owl but you can always count on a laugh.

  2. Matt Buechele is a TikTok comedian, TV writer, and composer known for his humorous takes on benign topics like when your friend comes to visit and you suddenly become the most boring tour guide or the dynamic of a group text and the anxiety that ensues when trying to come up with the best reply. 

  3. Cass Holland chronicles her day-to-day life of being a “cart girl” throwing in funny anecdotes of customer encounters and how she decorates her cart for each holiday. 

Kevin

  1. Mrs. Ts Pierogies is always coming up with wild recipes incorporating their potato-filled pockets. Move over charcuterie - how about a pierogi board? Or pierogi nachos? Or a pierogi pizza? Follow @mrstspierogies on Instagram.

  2. Linda Skeens is the blue ribbon queen of the county fair. She went viral for news that she swept up major wins at her county fair and there was a hunt to locate the baking/crafting legend. Now she's publishing a book and is on Tik Tok giving tips on making fudge and other homespun confections

  3. Sinister Pond Babe is your go to Google Earth aficionado. Through TikTok they explore random places her followers recommend. It's a deep dive into Street View and Wikipedia with entertaining commentary babe.

Erin

  1. Wendy’s accounts can often be seen throwing savage responses, a bit of humor, and loads of user-generated content.

  2. Nat Geo Travel serves up visually intriguing images and wanderlust-inducing videos with education mixed in.

  3. We Rate Dogs is the perfect pick-me-up after a long day at work. You can find user-generated content with humor, audience engagement, and content such as senior dog highlights.

Karlyn

  1. Ring offers user-generated content that ranges from heartfelt moments, funny accidents caught on camera, and scary situations that’ll prompt you to order yourself a ring doorbell. 

  2. RoAndCo Studio is one of Karlyn’s favorite creative studios, producing stunning work and helping her stay inspired!

  3. Cheap Old Houses invites its 2.1 million consumers to take a step back in time and uncover some of America’s hidden home gems. Each post features old houses currently on the market, a look at their HGTV show, and you can even purchase merch!

Schuyler 

  1. Bread Stalker takes avid home bakers through the tedious process of producing the perfect sourdough “crumb” as she refers to it. Schuyler loves to bake and experiment in the kitchen making this account a daily favorite!

  2. Studio Mcgee is the culmination of self-taught interior designer Shay Mcgee’s work. Shay rose to fame by posting her shelf styling photos on Instagram almost a decade ago and since has grown her brand into a massive design firm, a tv show on Netflix, and a line with Target.

  3. Girl with No Job takes everyday situations and turns them on their head, adding satire and her own personal struggles with trending sounds and bits. 

Taylor 

  1. PR Girl Manifesto shares relatable and funny content to engage viewers and help provide information and opportunities for people in our field. 

  2. R29Unbothered is a subset of Refinery29 catered to the beauty of the Black community. 

  3. Humans of NY is a photoblog dedicated to sharing heartfelt stories about everyday people. They can make you laugh or they can make you cry. There is always something new and special. 

Carla

  1. The Pensky File Youtube channel focuses on pop culture analysis and produces several podcast shows. Watch Wes and Clay discuss current shows covering Star Trek, film, music videos, horror films, and the animated Batman series.

  2. Drew Talbert, an Actor, Comedian, Writer, Content Creator, Co-creator of Bistro Huddy, makes funny short videos about the restaurant industry life. Drew has 23 years of  experience as a waiter, he is also a coach and perform improv.

  3. Loves Data is all about getting the most out of your data. Follow specialists Benjamin Mangold with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio (previously Google Data Studio). They've consulted with some of the biggest brands and trained thousands of people to do it themselves.
